Gwen Smith’s Unsearchable - LISTEN for FREE

Have you heard of Martha Munizzi?

How would i define her Gospel/Worship Music? Hmmm… the best way i can descibe it is, If you know Israel Houghton ….. she’s like the female version of his style of music and song.

Change The World is extremely Upbeat, with a lot of Positve and Uplifting songs that will definitely get you off your feet dancing and Praising God as He showers HIS favor on us! Yeah that’s how i feel after listening to Change The World one time!

And now after listening to it a couple more times … WOO HOO!! Martha is definitely gonna Change The World with her anointed leading and beautiful songs.

I can’t wait to get my hands on Hillsong’s new CD - THIS IS OUR GOD!!

We’ve been hearing lots of good reviews of this new CD. I personally did not use any songs from last year’s release -  Savior King (unless you count Hosanna), but this time round, i hear its pretty good .. and can’t wait to get my hands on the CD!

You gotta get this CD! Really wan!! (or to our International Readers, Seriously… u gotta get this CD!) Its absolutely lovely, anointed, and awesome! I just got my copy from Canaanland on Monday, and as soon as i pop the CD in ….. woo hoo! Love the FIRST SONG!!

If you don’t know True Worshippers, you may know GMB! They are Indonesian Worship Bands! I am glad that the Malaysian language and the Indonesian language is so similar, that we can enjoy the songs that they write. (Similar to how the Swiss French would understand the French!)

Anyway, GMB has sort of been disbanded and the lead singer Sidney Mohede and a few others joined their church’s (Jakarta Praise Community) brand name called True Worshippers.

So now, they have re-branded everything under the TW (True Worshippers) label with the following albums

• TW Live (for the main congregation)
• TW Youth (for youth)
• TW Kiddy (for kids)

TW is HUGE in Indonesia. Each time they do a recording, they have a sold-out stadium! And TW sells 100,000 copies of their main albums globally! Sounds like the Hillsong story eh? Just minus the Conference!

Anyway enough about the history, lets get back to the songs …

Just realized that i totally forgot to review the Planet Shakers 2008 CD - FREE! Got it back in January, but totally forgot to blog about it! Whoopsy!

With PS coming in April, I suddenly remembered that i totally missed this CD.

This album has not really been a great impact for me, the songs are the typical Planet Shakers songs, rockish, tunes are rather similiar. Was hoping for more new stuff.

Only a couple of the songs are really nice. You can buy the CD online, and its also now available in Malaysia.

FREE was recorded in Melbourne over two nights and done by Planetshakers City Church.

From the album, I like Greatly to be Praised, Salvation and Saved The Day. Interestingly the song Save The Day has a simliar intro to His Love (Hillsongs). I thought why was Planetshakers playing a Hillsong song? hehe .. then the intro changed.

Oooooh i finally got my hands on the new released CD by Hillsong United. When i first heard of it, i thought it was just another one of those compilation CDs.

One glaring difference, was that the 28 recordings on the CD(s .. yeah its a Double CD), were done practically all over the world, with one even done in Kuala Lumpur.

So when i popped the first CD in this morning, I was like …… SWEET! Nice songs. Initially from earlier reviews from other sites, there were disclaimers that the recordings were raw. But after hearing it over twice, i like!

The quality of the recording is good, and its all LIVE. Yeah its a practically LIVE Concert where they took snippets from all over the different cities of the world where United travelled and blest the nations. Its an Awesome project and an awesome CD. Yes yes ….. Go buy it now!!

If you’re still not convinced continue to read on. I have a couple of favourites already, but i am sure the favs will increase as i listen to the CD a couple more times.

My Favs

1. Nothing But The Blood & Hosanna - Disc2

Initially i thought it was a medley of two songs. It was recorded so well, that only until i saw the CD cover, and discovered one was recorded in New Jersey and the other at Orlando. But i think it can be done as a medley. Its really really coool! Esp with Easter up close, coool song to do!! Hmmm.. i wonder if Brooke did both the songs?

2. ‘Till I See You - Disc1

I just like the way they played it. The style, the easy feeling and the way the song builds up over to the end. Love it!!! Hmmm… i may just teach it next next week..

3. Time Has Come - Disc1

I like the intro they did for Time Has Come, slightly different arrangement. Sounds more techno, but a great start nonetheless.

Michael W Smith’s new Christmas Album is a superb Christmas production. You know just like a movie soundtrack where you hear the entire ensemble from the Orchestra, that’s how the entire album sounds like. With songs, music instrumentals and duet with American Idol’s Mandisa .. all the 11 songs were done so so well.

I would say that the album is different from those “Christmas CD” that you would wanna play, hit Repeat, in a Christmas Party. This is a collector’s item. I also do believe some of the songs could be used in soundtracks for movies with Christmas themes. Its really really well done.

And to get a fore-taste of how the entire CD will go, take a look at the “Making Of Its A Wonderful Christmas” Video below. Check out the Orchestra in action and Michael does some explanation of the songs that was done in the CD!! Really really excellent!
