So you can imagine what happens, when a Lakewood worship leaders decides to teach an African song to the church called Bambalela!

This is a high spirited song, which just makes u wanna jump up and bounce and sing and declare God’s rain over your life. This song is from Lakewood’s Hope for Today album.

Are you seeking for God’s Abundance of Rain?

I relate this song to the prophet Elijah from 1 Kings 18.

In this chapter, God told Elijah to present himself to King Ahab and to tell the king that despite the famine that they are facing, GOD will send RAIN on the land.

Its definitely a miracle, its definitely God pouring out His abundance over us!

What reminded me of this song was this when both Kim Meng and Cindy commented on the change of the Malaysia’s weather. It was a drastic change! Just over a week ago, we had terrible haze all over the klang valley, and it was dark, hazy, smelly and foul. Totally disliked it!

But over the weekend, we saw the change in weather, from hazy to clear blue skies and all of this just reminded me of God’s favor and blessings. Reminded me of how God has send RAIN to wash away all the bad; reminded on how God is just gonna pour out His blessings on a bright new day; reminded me that each day His mercies are new for us!

Then it just reminded me of this great song “Abundance of Rain” . . . . . . . .

Hahaha this is so so so so coool!

You gotta watch Lakewood’s last Sunday’s Worship when they did the song “We Have Overcome”. Its a beautiful song …. i digress here … but the way the Lakewood team sings the song… its so effortless, how come the key is always so much higher in Malaysia .. and so much harder to reach esp when we do the bridge? hehe

Anyway …  watch out for the Michael Jackson twist on minute 2:26 on the video! They are so fun & creative

If you were one of the worshippers that nite … it must have been an awesome experience.

One of the songs sang that nite was Mighty To Save. Written by Reuben Morgan & Ben Fielding … the song comes from Hillsong of course, but it was also recorded in Lakewood’s FREE TO WORSHIP and now most probably in MWS’s new worship album too! Anyway .. you get a sneak peek of that video tooo ….

Ha ha ha!! This video is so funny. The style and concept of the video shot shows that its almost like the American Idol!

Reason why i find it funny is because our church’s worship audition is also just around the corner. We are having our Worship Team Audition on 24 & 25 Feb. Gonna be exciting!!

I have always loved STILL STANDING, even when Israel Houghton did it in the Alive in South Africa album. It was brilliant!

The song is an upbeat song and its another great song written by Cindy Cruse Ratcliff and Israel Houghton!! Woo Hoo … loved it! I like what they did this time in Free To Worship’s recording.

The song was slightly slower (or felt slower) and they threw in a medley to a Hymn!! Yes .. trust Lakewood to do great things like that in familiar songs.

Still Standing is the second song in the CD, and the medley only jumped into a two liner from a Hymn. It proclaims

Yups … we stand on Christ our Rock, and when we are Standing with Jesus .. nothing .. and nothing can shake us!! I love the truth that is always potrayed in the songs that Israel writes.
