We had an amazing time in the presence of God last Friday Night, when the church came together with just one sole purpose, Praising and Worshipping God with one voice!

It was a night of celebrative praise, joyful dancing and intimate worship and also seeking God’s presence. I was so blest as God just moved in such a mighty way during our Proclaim His Power Worship Night.

We had over 1,000 people in church singing Hallelujah and proclaiming Jesus as our King and we were so glad that many came with expectant hearts despite the heavy downpour last Friday. Ps Vincent shared an amazing message on Worship (which i need to elaborate on separate post soon), on how Paul & Silas despite being in Jail, Praise & Worship God.

All Glory to God, as we saw eight people surrendering their lives to God for the first time and the church coming out for prayer after Ps Vincent’s sharing. God’s move was amazing last Friday. Are you blest too?

The Worship Team had practiced and practised for the last two months; working on 13 different songs that we felt were appropriate to use for the Worship Night. Guess what? God Moved!, God is Soverign, we only sang half of the songs that was practised & planned, and the rest of the time on Friday night we just sang songs as the Spirit of God lead! Simply amazing!

Really thank God for a Worship Team that flowed together as the Holy Spirit moved, the musicians, the choir, the singers, the AV team just changed songs as Ps Gwen lead the church from one song to another.

There was a moment during the Worship when Gwendolyn released a Word of Encouragement to the church. The Word was “You are Precious!” and the Word was released over the church and it was just so timely.

During one of the un-rehearsed songs that was sung towards the end of the night, I felt there was this amazing breakthrough, when Ps Gwen sang the last line of Shout To The Lord ……

Nothing Compares to the Promise I have in You

Nothing Compares to the Promise I have in You

Nothing Compares to the Promise I have in You ….. x 30 times

Yeah … :) I believe we must have sung it more than 30 times, and I could sense such a Breakthrough even as that word was sung repeatedly that night over the lives of the congregation!

The GT Dance team was great, they started the song Yesus with some interesting cultural-related dance moves and later led to flagging & banners as we celebrated Yesus!

I am sure there are some of you asking what songs did we do? We did our own song, songs from Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, True Worshippers and lots more. Like what i mentioned in my previous posting, our focus on Friday Night was to ensure that everyone could easily enter into worship, therefore we did not focus on teaching many new songs. We felt it was more simple to stick to familiar songs, add some new arrangement to the music to make it sound fresh and exciting. :)

We have heard many great feedback on how their lives were touched during the Worship Night, and how God has been such a blessing over them and ministered to them on Friday. Please share your worship experience with us too! :)

Okies.. i’ve gone on and on more than enough. Thanks to Seng Chye, we’ve got some lovely photos from that night. I’ve only taken like 70 photos out of his 200+ photos in his Flickr Album.
