DUMC Worship God Conference 2008 : 14-16 Nov
DUMC will be having their Worship Conference next month. And they have invited their guest speaker Glen Packiam. For those of you who are familiar, Glen was previously from FGA KL. His parents are pastors and coincidently his sister Tracy was Tiffany’s mate at YWAM Penang … back in the good old days when DTS was still conducted way up North.
Anyway… most of you would have heard of Desperation Band (sold at Salvation) and they are pretty big in the States esp Colorado. So Glen’s was once with Desperation Band, and has now moved on to do his own stuff.
And now back to the Worship Conference. Damansara Utama Methodist Church’s (DUMC) inaugural worship conference is for anyone who wants to grow in understanding of what biblical worship is.
The conference will explore the heart, role and response of a worshipper. One of the highlights of the conference is a Worship Evening, an evening of celebrative and exuberant praise and worship.

CD Review : Lincoln Brewster’s Today Is The Day
What can i say? Its Lincoln Brewster for starters! Its Praise & Worship laced with Rock beats & rhytym and the songs are great! Its a brilliant P&W CD to have and great songs to use in church as well!
This review is really overdued, but with the Worship Night preparations and heavy work schedule, this review has been long overdued!
First of all, if you didn’t read my post on TODAY IS THE DAY, then you won’t know that i absolutely love the song, and wanna teach it in church very soon! The song is super catchy, and the words are so true, and its a just a simple and beautiful song written by Lincoln & Paul (Baloche). Gwen Smith’s Unsearchable – LISTEN for FREE
Hey guys check out Gwen Smith’s new album “UNSEARCHABLE” which was just released on 7 October 2008. Listening Party is offering a FREE listen to all of her new songs, and she has lovely worship songs.

The Splendour of the King showed up at Worship Night
We had an amazing time in the presence of God last Friday Night, when the church came together with just one sole purpose, Praising and Worshipping God with one voice!
It was a night of celebrative praise, joyful dancing and intimate worship and also seeking God’s presence. I was so blest as God just moved in such a mighty way during our Proclaim His Power Worship Night.
We had over 1,000 people in church singing Hallelujah and proclaiming Jesus as our King and we were so glad that many came with expectant hearts despite the heavy downpour last Friday. Ps Vincent shared an amazing message on Worship (which i need to elaborate on separate post soon), on how Paul & Silas despite being in Jail, Praise & Worship God.
All Glory to God, as we saw eight people surrendering their lives to God for the first time and the church coming out for prayer after Ps Vincent’s sharing. God’s move was amazing last Friday. Are you blest too?
Undignified Worship Concert on 18 October 2008
KL Baptist Church is organizing a Worship Concert this Saturday with special performances from Grace Methodist Church, Singapore and also Drummer for Christ!
Undignified is a gathering of fellow Christians to come together as a body of Christ to worship Him with hearts abandoned; to see an encounter with the Maker of all things; to consecrate the new year to Him in whom there is peace, joy and love unfailing.
This vision was started off by the leaders of Grace Methodist Church, Singapore and it is our honor and privilege to be able to bring this vision into the heart of Kuala Lumpur together with the Grace Methodist team.
There will also be a special performance by DrummerForChrist that very night.
A Night just for Praise & Worship
I love to Worship God, and i am so looking forward to this Friday’s Worship Night “Proclaim His Power”. Its just an awesome encounter when you come together with the church and just sing songs of adoration and praises and just spend time in the presence of God!
One interesting observation as this week led towards the worship night was, “How do I invite Friends to a Worship Night?”
I mean, we generally can create interest and easily invite friends and family to a Drama, a Movie or even a Concert, but how do you get friends to come to a Night of Praise & Worship?
I came up with two reasons:
DUMC Youth Concert “Loud 2008″ on 26 Oct 2008
Just got this info that DUMC Youth Concert “LOUD 2008″ will be happening at the end of the month.
Last year there was a LOUD Youth Concert as well, you can watch the 5mins video below. As of now, I can’t seem to locate the Flyer anywhere, so if any of you or your frens are from DUMC and you have a copy, please drop me an email.
From the Facebook Event, i can see that 1AM (One Accord Ministry) is somehow involve. Perhaps they are doing the concert or a presentation! Okies, that’s all the stuff i have on LOUD 2008.
