I can’t wait to get my hands on Hillsong’s new CD - THIS IS OUR GOD!!
We’ve been hearing lots of good reviews of this new CD. I personally did not use any songs from last year’s release - Savior King (unless you count Hosanna), but this time round, i hear its pretty good .. and can’t wait to get my hands on the CD!

Song : Enter His Gates (GTPJ)
Woo Hoo!! Hwee Yen wrote a new song two weeks ago and we managed to learn the song and sang it in church yesterday during the Young Adults Service in GTPJ.
She said Psalms Chapter 100 inspired her a whole lot. The tune the song is nice and unique. Its a moderate paced song and plays in the key of D!
Enter His Gates talks about Entering His Gates with thanksgiving and Entering His Courts with Praise!

Article : Straining to Praise- When Congregational Songs Get Out of Reach
I like this article! Dan Grassi wrote a rather lengthy but very true aspect of how worship leaders choose songs for today’s worship service. How we cope with the different changes of key/notes, especially if they hit the high range. I also like the fact that he pointed out that there are many Christian Artistes that has produced worship albums, and that could be another reason why songs are written or played in a key that the congregation can’t sing.
I personally love Israel Houghton’s songs. But his range in his music arrangements (for Lakewood & Israel & New Breed) are often super super high! So how do we cope with it. Check out Dan’s article below. :) ….. Read On …..

Holy Is the Lord is from Chris Tomlin’s Arriving Album.
Yeah i know…. its been written a while back, but its just a super cool song, and i don’t know why we’ve not sung it yet in church.
It was recently at a friend’s wedding, and they were playing all of Chris Tomlin’s song prior to the commencement of the wedding ceremony, and i was just reminded how beautiful this song is!!
(Arrrghhh.. another song in my list to teach at church … the list seems to be growing so so long !! )
Anyway watch & listen to the video as Louie Giglio and Chris Tomlin shares about on how the song came together (interview with NewSongCafe). I always like to see how songs come together, and especially when the song comes direct or inspired from the scripture.
