Indescribable Christmas … Blogged!

First of all thank you to all of you who made it to our church’s Christmas Production last weekend! It was simply “Indescribable!”

For the Two Nite events, we recorded over 3,000+ people filling the Hall and experiencing GOD thru a musical - multimedia production. We wanna thank God for the many frens that came over the weekend and for the cast & crew which did a splendid job!

This is gonna be very much a Photo Blog, and we would like to share with you what as chronological as possible for Indescribable Christmas. We are taking pictures from Daniel, so if u wanna see all the 200 pictures of Indescribable - click here

Indescribable Christmas - Blogged!

Welcome to Indescribable Christmas .. !!

We hope for those of you who experienced had a great time!

It all started with the Carollers at the church Foyer. We opened the Doors at

approx 8.30pm each nite, and all our guests who mingled in the lobby got treated

with a Carol Team singing Christmas Carols

ACT1 : When God created the heavens and the earth

These angels danced in formation as the universe was created

We used a lot of lights and special effects to help create the ambience for

all the different ACTS & Scenes! We had LIVE musicians to help create the mood.

All songs were done with LIVE music !! !!

The Multimedia Crew that help create all the various 3D images on screen!

We had 3 notebooks running and we used MediaShout to control the sequence of

all the various video images!! Tks to Chris Wong (arms folded) who created

all the various video images for Indescribable!!! Woo Hoo!

The Choir was the VOICE for all the songs. They sang in parts and

harmony creating the various moods for each song. The Conductor is Yat Hwa!

ACT 2 : Creation of Earth & Creatures

The Flag bearers started the Second Act ….

with the song God Of Wonders being sung in the background.

All the various designs of Flowers were created on earth!

Children dressed up in different costumes represented the many animals

that were created by GOD to inhabit the earth!

From the cute cute animals to the trees on earth… all living things were created

and God called them GOOD!

John Lim was the soloist for God of Wonders … and together with the

Choir sang the song so beautifully!

ACT3 : The Creation of Man & Woman

And God breathed LIFE into man .. and formed ADAM!

Alf played Adam & Hazel played Eve!

Brilliant dance and choreography!

ACT4 : When Baby Jesus Came To Earth

The Angels Danced & Celebrated at the Birth of Jesus!!

Nice pic of the Yat Hwa n the Light Effects with the audience as the background!

Stevie & Hwee Yen played Joseph & Mary as they appeared at the last scene

with Baby Jesus as the answer and salvation to men!

Ps Vincent presented a wonderful message on Indescribable Christmas

with many responding to the message!

to accommodate more space for dancers on Stage.

We have a 30+ voice choir that will

bring you wonderful songs thru out the night

Yat Hwa is moving too fast for the Camera …

He must be conducting a realllly fast song! haha

And there’s John Lim .. who will be doing a solo on the two nights.

Children participating as part of God’s creation …. will be dressed up in cute cute animals

The multimedia team hard at work to ensure the right picture and video

appears on the right screen!

No prizes for guessing who will narrate you though the Night

This is the Creation Team that will depict God’s Beautiful Creation

This is only 1/4 of the entire team!

There will be Dancers performing for some of the songs and

watch them as they help add life and meaning to the songs sang

More prep work done on the Stage

as they figure out where to stand and how to put in the finishing touches!

Every living creature bows down and Worship Baby Jesus!

We managed to capture some photos during “the making” of Indescribable Christmas Production at Glad Tidings PJ.

We would like to share with you some of the things that’s happening behind the scenes so that you will appreciate it more when you come visit this weekend!

The Making of Indescribable Christmas

If you attend GT, you will first of all noticed that the walls on the stage

are no longer WHITE. Its all turned BLACK!! Check out the right-side corner of the stage

stairs, its has now been elevated to the same height as the stage.

Yes .. there are some changes done to the church Maranatha Hall, as we prepare for

Indescribable Christmas this coming Friday & Saturday.

You will notice that the lighting and effects of lightings will be much more

enhanced during this coming weekend, this is to ensure that we are able to potray

an Indescribable God !

Bergson (guy in pic) and Leroy have been working overtime to set up

the Stage for Indescribable Christmas. They were the ones that put up

the Black Cloth on the walls of the stage to help create the Universe effects.

You also see cables and metal frame bars in the picture above.

They are also installing lights to come down the wall of the stage .. symbolizing the Stars in the Universe. Lots of work have been put in to set up the bulbs one by one.

I have always loved STILL STANDING, even when Israel Houghton did it in the Alive in South Africa album. It was brilliant!

The song is an upbeat song and its another great song written by Cindy Cruse Ratcliff and Israel Houghton!! Woo Hoo … loved it! I like what they did this time in Free To Worship’s recording.

The song was slightly slower (or felt slower) and they threw in a medley to a Hymn!! Yes .. trust Lakewood to do great things like that in familiar songs.

Still Standing is the second song in the CD, and the medley only jumped into a two liner from a Hymn. It proclaims

On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand

Yups … we stand on Christ our Rock, and when we are Standing with Jesus .. nothing .. and nothing can shake us!! I love the truth that is always potrayed in the songs that Israel writes. So if you’ve not done this song yet …. listen to it in the video below and go teach it in your church this week!! WOO HOO!!! I’m STILL STANDING! !

I absolutely love the way Lakewood re-did/remixed At The Cross. At the Cross & Mighty To Save are two powerful songs released from Hillsong’s Mighty To Save album.

But Lakewood redid the song so much better (from my perspective that is). Hills did it in a rather reflective way, the song At the Cross started slow and was slowly built up.

In Lakewood however, At The Cross was a medley from It Is Well With My Soul and it was in an upbeat tone and it really brings up the worship really really well! Loved it! And I simply love the medleys that Lakewood does in all of their albums. So it was a happy surprise when they medley At The Cross to Might To Save …. loved it!!!

The thrust and themes of the two songs are well represented too!! Its an amazing jump from one song to the other cos the Original Key for At The Cross is “E” and Mighty To Save is “A”.
Watch the video and listen to how they medley the jump from song to the other. Another point to take note is that Lakewood did not do Verse3 (which i personally feel its Darlene’s personal verse).

I’ve been listening to Free To Worship for the last 10 days in my car!! Its absolutely brilliant, i wish i have more time to comment on the worship blog, cos i’ve got so many things to say on the songs and the arrangements and the medleys that Lakewood church did!! So so so so good!!

Wanna draw your attention to their theme song .. Free To Worship written by Israel Houghton & Da’Dra Greathouse (u can see her sing the song in the video below); its a great worship song, which talks about our freedom to express our love and worship unto God, that there should not be anything that will hold us back or put fear in our hearts when approaching our Almighty God!
