This is a pretty cool DVD for beginners. Was talking to some friends from Church on how one can improve on our basic music skills. Most of us take formal training, in our childhood; and in the Formal Training in Childhood, they do not teach you to play songs used in church. You’ll most probably learn the Fur Elise and all the Classicals, and you will be forced to memorize your 4 piano pieces for your exams.

However Church playing is different. We use Chords … we play in differnent “moods”, where we can start slow and build to strong finish and of course, many times we move into Free Worship. So moving on from the classical musical training … let’s see what Paul has to toffer.

There can be no doubt that Hillsong United is having an impact across the globe. Their CDs have become standards for many worship leaders and have set trends toward high-energy live worship projects.

So when people heard that United’s new release, All of the Above, was a studio project, it raised some questions.

Primarily why fix it if it ain’t broke? Now there is absolutely nothing wrong with a studio worship project, but still, people want to know why the change.

So when we had the chance to sit and chat with the Hillsong United team, we asked them the reasoning behind the decision. We were going to write up an article based on their answer, but since we recorded Joel Houston (front man and creative director for Hillsong United) we decided to let you hear it in his own words.

My Review

I love Gateway Worship. If you close your eyes, you will think

its a band that’s so similiar to Hillsong. Gateway Worship is from USA,

and the songs they are playing are anointed, new and really Fresh!

Love their songs, style and technique. Managed to find one of their videos online.

Watch You, You Are God, which is an upbeat song which really declares

who God is! The songs are simple to learn, easy to use in church and small groups.

They are great. Mind you, Gateway Worship is not new, this CD was released

in June 2006, unfortunately I only stumbled upon it in June 2007! Sigh!

But looking forward to their next album!
