Are u allowed to eat as much as u want on an atkins/ ketogenic diet?
the ratios being 60 % fat, 30 % protein, 10 % carb i am keeping carbs as near to 15g or less day. but the calories seem to climb upto even 2000. on a regular moderate carb diet i average 1200 1400. i am a girl, 5'2, 53 kgs and am moderately active i have a deskjob and go for an evening walk and take the stairs like 9 10 times a day b c of my office building.

Are chik fil a chicken nuggets acceptable on the ketogenic diet?
I guess I should also mention that I've been vegetarian for 2 years. I'm planning on trying this diet out but I'm kind of confused as to what I can eat you're supposed to have more fat than protein or carbs, but what DOESNT have protein that I could eat...I don't get it..eggs, cheese, meat, etc all have a substantial amount of protein.If I bought some chik fil a nuggets for lunch tomorrow, would those work?

Can someone please explain this about the ketogenic diet to me?
I thought that the diet only required you to eat under 20 g of carbs a day, but now I'm reading that you can't eat a lot of protein either...I'm not sure I understand this I've read stories about people who followed the diet, and they ate meat, fish, eggs, cream, etc...aren't all of those extremely HIGH in protein? Can someone explain a bit better? Like if I ate chicken nuggets at Chic Fil A tomorrow would that be violating the guidelines of the diet? Thank you

How can you reach ketosis if you're vegan. A lot of those meat imitator products seem to have about 20g of carbs per serving, so it's almost impossible to get less than 50g of carbs which is what you need to reach and sustain ketosis. I know that the quick weight loss at the beginning is water loss as your body is depleted of glycogen, which is stored as water. How do you know when you are losing fat and not water? Please don't respond if you are just going to tell me not to diet blah blah blah...I'm educated and I know the pros and cons...in other words..unless it is to answer my question please don't respond.
