Nate can swim on his own!! I mean he can move his legs & kick & kick. He can also manuever himself to go after balls & play with toys in the hydro pool at HUKM. We’re so happy & thankful simply because up and until a month back he still was afraid & pretty much hangs on to us for dear life. Whenever Daddie takes him swimming–his legs hardly move & he cries quite abit in protest.

We are really blessed to beable to get weekly slots for the pool & a great therapist like Yoke Fong. And u can tell that his muscle tones are getting better & better. I took a short video of it & hope to load it up soon to show u all.

God is awesome & we’re so in awe of HIM!! Thank U Jesus.

Yeah he can really hit the balloon. His gross motor & fine motor skills are being refined. This excercise will encourage motor planning & also crossing the midline. Please continue to pray for him in this area as he works hard.

We are continuing our various therapy session everyday. He is one busy boy!  A sneak peak into Nate’s week.

Hahhahahahha! Not bite la just nibble & massage your legs. Thought it was a fun good therapy session lor. Kids under 4 years are FREE! U know why??? Cos their legs are too short! Yeah you can see from the pictures of Nathanael’s legs.

We took Wesley there to watch recently & he absolutely loved it! It’s pretty fun. The initial feel is ticklish so U must tahan till about 10mins after that it is very nice wor…….apparently so la.

Nibble nibble nibble……….the fish actually cleans your feet & leg pretty well. The chew away all the dead cells & scars and helps with cracked heels too. Only thing is it cost RM38 for 30mins. EX!!! So go only on your birthday & get 50% off! They also have Senior Citizens rate. Try it!

Nathanael’s recent excercises-for the past 3 weeks in HUKM has been on the Threadmill. When we first started the walking excercise he was quite wobbly and we had to hold him the entire time… but PTL in one week….yes 7 days he can now walk by himself. He just holds onto a bar and walks steadily.
It is a M I R A C L E! WOW! Are you amazed? What a mighty God we serve! AMEN?!?!

Yoke Fong our physio therapist saw that Nate was doing well- she increased the gradient on the threadmill. So now Nate has to walk uphill as that would improve his balance,posture & walk. She now puts him on for a total of 30mins—10mins at a go. This is pretty good news. Of course he will get upset & angry but overall he is progressing well.

You will also find photos of Nate & Zoe in the special Snoezelen room….Zoe enjoys the stimulation as well. She greatly benefits from all these experiences. All in all God deserves all the glory & honor….we will next blog about Nathanael’s Ketogenic Diet so stay tuned!

Po Po needed a dip in the salt water–Kong Kong also went but stayed away from the waters…..even Kau Fu & Che Che Linda went along with us. Here are some shots of what happened there.

We went to the public beach area on the 8th mile. we rented the table, umbrella & 4 chairs…..RM15 I think. We thought the beach was gonna be dirty & all–afterall it is a public beach……BUT BUT to our pleasant surprise……it was Clean!! NICE!!

So here are the photos..

What a mouth full! Yes it’s a name & brand of a walker! We were told to get Nathanael a walker and we were faced with a choice of either getting a Rollator (RM230) or a Wenzelite Nimbo Junior Posterior Safety Roller. We started asking around for advice as to which is the better one to get. We got so many opinions that it became confusing.

Thank God we were able to borrow both. Somehow there was an opportunity we had.  When Nathanael used the rollator he tends to lean & bend forward, however when he uses the Wenzelite walker his posture control is so much better! He actually walks & stand upright. So we consulted with our therapist she also agreed that it was better to get the Wenzelite!

And so we hunted for the best deal took us 3 months….a brand new one can cost something like RM680….thank God we manage to get one at a very very good price….a nice lady sold it off to us. We will have to get it fixed up as certain parts are loose & needs replacement.

YES!! Nathanael loves to walk with it. He just cant wait to get moving!

It’s good for Nathanael as he learns to shift his weight from left to right and back. Nathanael accomplished up to 58 steps!! That’s a huge achievement for him….although he cried 60% of the time! Poor guy!

We are just absolutely and totally appreciative to this one person who went all the way to USA and help bring back Nathanael’s Sennheiser Headphones. We were informed by Nathanael’s therapist, Ms Teo that if we were to buy it online and send it back to Malaysia, we can get taxed up to 30% of the selling price of the Headphones.

Now that i dont understand why the government must impose taxes on equipments or resources required for therapy? Sigh …. wish the govt would help sponsor it and have these all readily available in Malaysia.

YES!! It is Pastor Julie Khoo!

And she is telling the amazing story of how the 7 LOST luggages came back!

The bags were missing for 6 days….what are the chances after 6 whole days?

Thanks be to GOD!!!

The airport folks found the luggage

and Ps Julie quickly went home to look for our package!

She “presented” it to Nathanael very excitedly.

He needs it as we are gonna enroll him to a

therapeutic listening programme soon.

Nathanael just completed a Mother’s Day Card for mommie.

And Mommie decided to put an extra sticker on his face for fun.

Guess what? It caught on, and the other teachers also put one on Nathanael.
